The SUSPICIOUS BEASTS debut LP "Used to Be Beatiful" was our most
amazing out-of-nowhere top-ten record of last year! Now it´s a pure freakout
out to see them as first japanese band on ALIEN SNATCH! Great bloomy garage
psych pop you may never heard that rootsy out of nippon. Apart from the overall
oddity "Never Bloom" is full of exotic driving twangy folk
melancholy, mind-warping harmonic upbeat kicks, frontman Yusuke sings
with desperate intoxicated recklessness, always evoking a surrounding of a
sultry, mellow summer on a porch, fading away in throwing stones atmospherics.
This album is the party for pop, psych and garage fans, it takes all of you
into a great train trip without being phoney and predictable. All girls
played this record to loved it! What else is a record label mission? Incredible
recording/production job by Jeff Burke (MARKED MEN, RADIOACTIVITY) in Tokyo and
Denton, TX. Fans of 'modern' bands as JACUZZI or GOLDEN BOYS, KING
TUFF, MOONHEARTS, REIGNING SOUND or GOODNIGHT LOVING take note! On tour in the
US in September 2013 and in Europe in Nov 2013 - dates below!
"WHERE DO YOU REALLY WANT TO GO?" Some of us have a need to pack
up and jump in any direction. Some of us want to run to the past. SUSPICIOUS
BEASTS seem to know which way and when they are heading. Formed by Brooklyn
resident / Japanese expatriate Yusuke Okada back in his hometown of Tokyo
in 2010, SUSPICIOUS BEASTS throw some real fucking fresh kindling onto the
never-ending-but-always-cooling-down campfire of modern psychey-garage rock.
With influences from The OUTSIDERS, LOVE, BRIAN JONESTWON MASSACRE, ALEX
CHILTON , and more, the beasts BEAT. They jam. They drive. They get fucked up
and someone steals their shirts. They get dark. They wanna fly to the moon, but
first, they're doing it in America. - Cory Feierman
